While I was studying nutrition at Tufts in Boston, I worked at Abe & Louie’s, the restaurant behind where one of the bombings occurred yesterday. My friends and I would gather in that very spot on Marathon Monday – one of our favorite days in Boston.
I am sending all my love and best wishes to the city of Boston today, and especially to the families most affected by yesterday’s tragedy.

April 21, 2013 at 10:17 pmI spent a very formative year in Boston as well. I lived there when I was 20/21, and I loved the youth-centric, but intellectual vibe of the city. I made so many lifelong friends, ate a ton, and drank a ton. I’m a better person for having lived there, and my heart is hurting for the people who will struggle to get their lives back together after this terrible incident.
