Healthy Holiday Giveaway #2: Fitlosophy Food Scale

fitbook

You’ve heard me say this a million times: small changes add up to big results that last.

This, my friends, is the theme behind today’s giveaway.

When you’re trying to lose or maintain weight, you don’t have to be a crazy calorie counter or know exactly how many carbs are in your bowl of oatmeal. But you do need to have a good sense of how much you’re eating, and this requires a system – be it a food scale, calorie guide, or Weight Watchers Points. Down the road you may be able to eyeball your portion sizes, but it takes a lot of practice, and in the meantime you’ll want to do some measuring of some sort.

GIVEAWAY ENDED
Today’s giveaway – an adorable red food scale from fitlosophy (the makers of my favorite food journal, fitbook!) – helps you beat Portion Distortion so you can reach your health goals more easily. It easily wins over any other food scale in the fashion department, features four units of measure, and even comes with a food portion guide.

I would love to win one of these. I’ve been wanting a food scale, and I’ve heard fitbook is the best.

Let me try again. I would like a food scale, because I do not have the ability to police my food portions. I think a serving looks like a serving, I have no idea how large it should be. Or how small. This would help, a lot!

For me I never have the patience to measure out my food, or count calories. But I love the idea of being able to weigh my food! Seems easier to do and gives me more information. I have also passed over recipes that require weight over cups and am intrigued about baking more exact!

I need an accurate scale – I am a lifetime member of WW and I weigh daily – and there is such a vast difference in my weight day to day that I am sure my scales need replacing.

This is such an awesome giveaway!! I would LOVE to win this giveaway as I stay focused on my new year’s committment of never yo-yo dieting again! I have tried many tricks/gimmicks/whatever you want to call them as well as particiapted in 2 bikini fitness competitions. What I have learned is that eating right means eating the RIGHT AMOUNT!! This scale would be great to help me realize what I am putting into my body and that every little bit counts!! My kids are also getting to the point now where they are old enough to learn about portion sizes and what they sould really be eating. I would love to share this with my entire family as we work together towards a healthy, happy, and portion controlled 2013!!! šŸ™‚

    Two Words: Potion. Control. Help.

Okay, three words. See? Horrible at estimating the size of anything, even sentences.

I have read articles, books, blogs, etc. on healthy eating and everything I read seems to talk about portion size. I have told myself that I would start making sure that my family and I are eating the correct portion size/amount. Iā€™m a full-time working mother of three (four if you count my husband lol) and I just seem to place buying a food scale at the bottom of my to-do list. Winning this would take one more thing of my list ļŠ

I’ve been trying to control my portion sizes for ages and measuring cups just don’t seem to be cutting it, especially for the greens and fruits that I’m always blending. A scale would be sooo much simpler and accurate!

I love this. I definitely have portion distortion and have used scales before but not one that looks like this. I also checked out the fitlosophy website and it looks great. I will be following Angela’s nutrition and exercise suggestions as soon as I am recovered from some recent surgery. It’s just what I am looking for.
